Our 2020 season, both in terms of training and competition has been heavily constrained by the dangers posed by the coronavirus and the consequent closure of facilities and the cancellation/postponement of competition. Even the Olympics lost its place in our anticipated calendar. Yet, so often this year, we have witnessed the determination of hammer throwers, coaches , supporters and officials, to make the best of things. You have displayed ingenuity, determination and dignity in the face of all the challenges you have faced, even in the face of opportunistic closures of facilities by local authorities and the like. You have still found ways to train and some competitions have taken place, often the result of determined people at local level.
Congratulations and best wishes to you all, as we look to escape the lockdowns and as we look towards 2021 with hope ever renewed! Good luck and best wishes to you all.
